As a psychologist, so much of the work I do is behind closed doors. I spend much of my time with one, maybe two people, sometimes a whole family, but nevertheless the interactions are contained within the four walls of my office. The door is closed.

This blog is a way of opening doors and being part of a larger conversation. I hope that by sharing thought provoking ideas, practical suggestions, and information about mental health topics I can promote dialogue and nudge growth outside the office.

The Doorways blog includes posts about a broad range of psychological topics that impact people’s relationships, behavior, personalities, feelings, and overall wellbeing. It is an effort to connect to people beyond my office walls.
